With millions sitting under the salary cap, why didn't we see more activity out of the Green Bay Packers in acquiring some serious talent? Brett Favre was ready to take a pay cut for Randy Moss, yet they let him slip away. Is there some ultimate plan in mind, or is Ted Thompson just nervous about getting someone with a built reputation?

In my humble opinion, Ted Thompson believes he is more than one or two players away from a super bowl and he is sticking to his plan to build through the draft.

This spring shows that Favre and Thompson both want the same things but their time horizons are a little different. I think the packers will be better this year. But, they may not have a better record because they have the second place record as opposed to the third place record they had last year

well ted thompson thinks he is ron wolfe the ultimate draft expert. when he is not. he relies to much on who he drafts ( even though i think this year was a waste) moss would have been an excellent pick up. he is the deep threat that favre wants and would shine with greenbay. one more LB IE porter Thomas June would make for one of the best linebacking corps in the league. while corey dillion is still out there to give greenbay a proven runningback rather then hope Jackson is good. they could have even kept green if Thompson is not going to use the cap. but sadly i just don't think thompson gives a rats *** about the packers and how they do. he even looks confused and stupid during press confrences. i just don't think he knows how to run a football team.

Why don't we just wait and see what happens this weekend and take it from there... Defense for the Pack is gonna be good, the seem that they might take a little time in getting use to each other a little more, but they will be the strongest part of this new team giving Brett (with his established Oline) time to score... I mean the Steelers beat New Orleans 20-7, and they have a new coach... Lets see what the Pack will do when confronted with a Steel Curtain in front of it..
This game will answer alot of questions for everyone, and then again how serious does one take a preseason game??
I'll be there SAT... Go Pack!!

Because they think that randy Moss is Overrated he's not, Passing Him Up and Having Favre Upset is going to be Green Bay's Loss for Sure.

My honest opinion is that the Packers are trying to put the most crap they can around Brett Favre to frustrate him to the point of retirement. Their hands are tied because they know they will lose most of their fan base if they cut, release, bench or trade him so they are trying to make him retire. I gaurantee the momemt Aaron Rogers takes over they will use that cap room to get him some support personnell.

we dont need to sign anybody else really. im a big packers fan. and i dont think we needed to. i think they did the right thing. every other team was out signing new players, when we were re signing the ones we had. we only lost like three people, i think they were ahaman, david martin, and somebody else. other then that, we got all the same players back, and we saved lots of money. if we can keep all the players we have on our team every year, they will like gel together and we will have a good team. i think they did the right thing. i cant wait for this season to start

What the Packers need to do is let go of Favre. You are not going to win a championship with him. He is past his prime. It's time for the Packers to re-build.

Management needs to have some guts and say "thanks for your contributions to Green Bay and the NFL...but it's time to move in a different direction." Put a statue and call it a career.

Don't get me a wrong I like Favre but it's time to go.

Well, yoiu know, with the Green Bay major league baseball team doing so well, they were probably caught up in all the excitement and forgot to take care of business.......Wait....what's that...Oh, sorry, I have just been informed that Green Bay does not have a major league baseball team. Well, I guess that's OK since they don't seem to have a major league football team either.
