My favorites are the 1st, the 3rd, the 5th and the 7th. To say one would be hard. But out of those i really enjoye the 3rd because if the enormous twist at the end (and i luv the time turners and all of those things) the 7th would be next, once again, the twist. i like going through the book thinking one thing, then all of a sudden thinking- wow, that makes sense, wy didn't i see that? or didn't see that one coming. i like things to be unpredictable. all through Prisoners Of Azkaban, i thought. oh no, black, i can't wait to get my hands on him and wring his neck! look what he did to lily and james and harry! his friends! now i just cry because he;s gone and want to go wring peters (though he's kinda done that for me!)

The 4th Harry Potter book was wonderful. Loved all the details and new & old ideas mixed together. That movie wasn't very good though.

Ok and you might want to check the already posted questions first. Somebody asks this question everyday.

Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix

I have no clue why.
It has just always been my favorite.
The Sixth one just had way too much romance drama

Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban was my favorite movie until I saw Order of The Phoenix a couple weeks ago.

My favorite is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban...

... because Harry meets Sirius and Professor Lupin for the first time. For a while Harry had Sirius to look up to and to care about him, and I don't know why but I always thought Lupin rocked, for some reason.

Deathly Hallows is good but in my opinion too many people died. (Although J.K. wouldn't be half as good an author as she is now if she couldn't get her readers to feel so strongly about her books.)

I've been asked this question and I have a hard time answering it. There are things about all of them that I like, and it's hard to choose. I have to say it's probably Goblet of Fire though. The writing kind of takes a turn at that point, as Harry more or less really hits puberty. Granted, I don't like every part of the book, but in general, it's the first one that really emotionally challenged me, especially with the death of Cedric in the end. It marked a real turning point in Harry's life regarding Voldemort. No longer did Voldemort attack him and he just squeak by. I think for the readers it too made Voldemort and his power seem more real, now that he was back with more power.
Of course I loved the 7th book, but that one saddened me most of all, because it was the last one, and all of the tragedy in it.
Still, #4, Goblet of Fire, my fav I believe. Though honestly, it's like trying to choose between your children...

the deathly hallows, the last book is full action from cover to cover. Also the most people die and it is such a surprise who does and it also has sad parts. Overall the last book never has a dull moment. I love all of the books and movies but my second favorite book would be the order of the phonix or the half blood prince.

The Deathly Hallows, since it kind of was a symbol for the end of my childhood. I grew up with Harry. Actually, I think it was because there was so much action but we also learn so much more about all the characters of the book. I also like how it emphasizes the importance of tolerance and understanding.

This question has been asked WAY too many times.

But I'll answer it.

The Prisoner of Azkaban. This book touches me every time I read it. I also think the story is the most well-told, and the plot is better in this book than any other.

Harry Potter 1 because it's the beginning. And 7 because it ends things pretty great and tons of action.

Before the last book came out and explained (most) everything and tied up loose ends, I would have said Goblet of Fire was my favorite. I just loved the adventure aspect of that one. Made for a great (if not too short) movie, too!
