Tell him to wait till he gets home and use it there.

Work PCs are for W O R K.

Trying to bypass company security can put his job at risk, then he will have money withdrawal symptoms

There's always the library... if you have your own server on the outside world you can also start a tunnel (kinda like a proxy, but more closely coupled.. ALL packets are wrapped in other packets and sent out from your server.) It's a major waste of time if you ask me. There's always a computer somewhere else you can use. Or you can track down your PPP username and password, connect your computer directly to the wall and dial into your Internet Service Provider... and there you have it, full internet. There's a variety of options, but all of them take lots of effort and research unless you're very computer-smart.

You could try googling it to find the link and click on it.
If that doesn't work, my dad bought a used blackberry for about $50. You can access the internet, and myspace, on it.

Circumventing a block on a company computer might cost you your job, but if you're determined, research information on Web Proxy Servers.
