XP is about getting results. You just design away and deal with problems as they come. It can be reckless and lead you down a bad road, but experienced programmers might like it as opposed to submitting UML diagrams and technical paperwork before writing a line of code. Usually, planning everything out doesn't give you as clear a picture of what to expect than just doing it and examining the result. This is what XP is all about, google it.

Google it.
XP like so many other programming paradigms are just a bunch of fluff for management types. In the real world, you just do what works and waht works cheap.
