I do prefer him with the band, but unlike many other musicians, his solo material is also amazing and doesn't lose any of it's core due to the lack of his band. My top 5: 1) Running Down a Dream 2) Mary Jane's Last Dance 3) Even the Losers 4) The Best of Everything 5) Have Love Will Travel (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are also one of the only classic rock bands that I believe never lost steam and even their newest albums are amazing) Collaboration?
