No. Your ex boyfriend's mother will have the privilege of making your car payments if you default. You still get to keep the car because it is in your name.

No -- if she is a co-signer only, she has no rights to the car. If you fall behind in payments, the creditor can go after you or her or both -- whatever they deem most expedient. No matter what happens, only the creditor can repossess the car.
