I've come to notice that no one says anything about black people having BET which stands for Black Entertainment...
But it would be a big deal if there was a WET....White Entertainment...?
This question isn't a racist question...it's just a simple question..so no dirty comments please....and Thanks...

What group of people are you expecting to say something about Black people having BET? Black people aren't going to complain about having a station that caters to us. It sounds as though you are looking for someone to complain about this. In this country Hispanic people also have their own television station, where nothing is played all day long except spanish language programming, including news broadcasts. This is all business, there is a market for it, so it exists. Plain and simple. It's not racism, it's business.

This question has been asked like thousands of times.
White people do have their own music channel it's called CMT.

Oh and by the way, when MTV first came on television, they strictly played white music videos. It was a huge moment when Michael Jackson's video was played for the first time....do some research. MTV started out like that and BET does play the videos of white artists, so it's not strictly for blacks.

No, it's a racist question. Exactly the type of racist question that always gets the disclaimer "This isn't a racist question." In fact, any time you feel the need to include that phrase, you're almost certainly asking a racist question.

But, to answer - how many shows on how many other channels feature primarily white casts and are designed to appeal to a primarily white audience? Think on that, and you may figure out why "WET" would not only be unneccesary, but a slap in the face to non-whites.

This question has been asked way too many times. White people don't need a WET and will probably never get one. There are enough channels with mostly white people. I have seen white people on BET. I don't watch it that much though. A black man used to own BET, but a white man does now. Don't complain to us, complain to him.

It all depends on what company you keep and who is around you to confirm the no one says stuff. Cuz I have heard people of different races say stuff about it. It does not matter what the subject matter is RACE will be an issue to some no matter what. Me I am the only white girl that works with an all black staff. I am not predjudiced against any color person. But I hate it when stuff is blamed on colors rather than persons. So yeah someone somewhere would have something to say about w.e.t.

Why ask this question?

Just go out there and create a channel for WET, if you want it than go out there and get it!

Black people wouldn't complain, the majority of us don't give a **** about BET so why care about a WET.

noone ever says anything.... yea ok...when i was in highschool, i would say that at leat 2 times a week someone non black would ask me why "we" get a whole net work...blah blah blah. i would say i dont know i dont care. i dont even like or have any desire to watch BET. i dont like rap or rnb. i like metal. I personally dont like BET, MTV, FUSE, or any music tv station. the only thing i watch on tv are the local stations. i think my parents have cable just for the movie channels.

there are a few spanish channels too, like telmundo etc. i dont care if they want their own station. its a free flippin country. ppl want to watch wantht ey can relat to.

any way, bet should be banned from tv, all it shows is the sterotypical ignorant version of black ppl. also if there were no bet, we wouldnt have ppl complaingin about why theres no wet, blah blah blah. im sure ppl from germany are complaining theres a spanish network why cant there be a deutch network (im not sure if there is...just an example).

who cares if it bothers you, dont watch it. the only ppl who watch bet are the (ignorant)youth anyway. they dont know anybetter. any intelligent black person or any intelligent person for that matter cant stand bet and doesnt waist there time pondering why there isnt wet....

I guess the reason is because black people as a race have always been neglected, forgotten about, or over-looked. In response to years of this treatment from the American society, we have had to establish our own in order to get the proper acknowlegdement. This includes universities etc.. , television shows etc.....Every televsion show is pretty much already " WET".

Rob M WHAT the hell are you yalking about???i'm black and
i personally would'nt give a d@mn if you all had a w.e.t as long as its not offending anyone od another race on shows. B.e.t is open to white artist, not just blacks, but it promotes things thats white people may not be interested in such as hip hop music, dances, and black movies/history. it is not to be cut off from society, but its meant to celebrate the many differences we have with white america.therefore, its called B.E.T not F.B.O (FOR bLACKS oNLY)

I really wouldn't be offended if a WET existed, but the are some hyper sensitive people who would be offended by it. I know it's stupid but it's just the way some people are.
