My husband and I are trying for a baby and i really thought i was pregnant (had breast tenderness and was very emotional), then i had my period 7 days early which is very unusual for me cause i'm so regular. Thought it might be a sign of pregnancy so i took a test and it was negative. Not really sure what to think about it?!? what are some reasons or causes for a period to come a week early?

When your period comes early it is often because you ovulated earlier in your cycle than usual. This is nothing to worry about.

Was it a normal period? If it was lighter or shorter than usual its possible that it was implantation bleeding. The test should show up positive about a week after that. If not it could have just been an early period. Mine does that every now and then too. Good Luck :)

It is a possibility that you are wanting a baby so bad that you are experiencing signs of a false pregnancy. As far as starting your period early that could just be caused by stress.

have you been stressed?
have you been unwell?
have you started any kind of medicines?
have you been eating differently?
any of these could have messed up your cycle
