I think there is an afterlife for people that are good and have learned everything they can (or should) on Earth. If not good then you are reborn on Earth (or somewhere else) to learn to be good, aka kind to other creatures and thoughtful. Yet the afterlife is a place unknown where you learn new things and grow. Would like to think it will be a fun and happy place as well with your loved ones there too.

I have many different views but this one is my favorite. It is a blend of different religious views (Guess which ones!).

When you pass on, you get to hang around for a bit to attend your funeral and clear up anything you think you HAVE to (Like if you are murdered and you really want to see the person caught).

Then you go to Heaven or Hell. In both places you become younger until you are born again. In heaven this wait is a lot more pleasant and spent with any loved ones you want to be with.

When you are born again, you are born to a better life, or worse depending on your actions in the last life. This is based on all your actions in the last life. Although you can be forgiven by the church so you can lead a better life, this does not erase the effect of the action on your next life.

I also think people are meant to be together and you will find each other in the next life (Although you may be the other sex in the next life).

Eventually you will reach a level where you have no higher life to be born to again and then you can stay in Heaven.

This should make you think for a while! :)

I think we live multiple lives at once, and the only time we get to see a part of our life in other places is when we are sleeping.

I myself don't think it ends at all , but keeps going because we are endless energy that never ends. This is just a journey for us to learn something, and we move and learn again. I believe in the end when we are done learning everything, we move on to a higher state and do cool things.

I would believe one of the cool things would be to come back and be spirit guides for humans. It might sound nuts, but that's my take on life.

I also believe people who we become friends with or know in our lives are people we have always known.

i read a book, actually a philosophical novel where the author talked about how someone has only seven chances to find his accomplishment in life, if not his soul is bound to never find peace. he tries to find it but he fails each time. when he is about to die for the last time he finds love, true love, and realizes that love was the point of his existence.
i told this story just to make sense when talking about afterlife. maybe we wouldn't have another chance like the hero from the novel, but i think that our soul spends eternity feeding himself with memories and feelings from our life. so in order to make our afterlife good we should try to "build" only nice memories and take care of our feelings.

Honestly... It's there.

I believe that science is very close to saying that some part of us extends beyond our bodies. When paranormal investigators search for "ghosts", they look for changes in temperature, moving objects, electromagnetic resonance, and sounds. All these things are forms of energy.

I believe that everything we do counts, every word we speak has an affect, every thought that enters our mind, lives forever. All these things form our life's product - - the soul. The soul is a form of quantum energy and is able to pass through extra dimensions.

This also means that the purpose of life is to nurture our souls. We nurture our souls by seeking truth, practicing love and relishing everything in the world that is beautiful.

i will answer with a question ....why are we here?? i mean even you are on one step to rule the world can u gurantee that u will live two seconds after .....how much your life worth now ? while you know that waht ever you did to get something >>death can take it from you any momnet..!!!
i guess we are here for a greater reason greater than our own desires and wishes ....
cauz that great reason is to be one of the system of the universe ....did you noticed how scatrred its element although it combine to make one system
the universe i mean all its elements (your body parts ,the suns, the stars) worship god... they was created with that charachter .....and you as human and you only have the abilty to choose....to be one of the system .....or to be a (worm or viurse) wants to cauz its break and that will never happenes cauz laws can break us...but can we break the laws..i mean life isn't a play ground (see around you)
and that requires that there is a life after death to complete the balance of the equation

I believe that when I die my soul is just going to become one with the universe. I'll be able to float around (not as body, but as the trees, the sky, an atom. I'll be able to see all of the things going on in the world that I never got to see during my regular life. I can follow my family for years, others families in different countries...so I'll feel like I'll never miss out on anything.

It can't be known as the tool we use to experience will no longer be functioning.
What ever we are, not the 'self', will not be effected by the disintegration of the organism.
Beyond that there is no way to know.
