I was actually thinking of this question earlier. I think it speaks to the fact that people will do anything for an extra boost of self confidence, and if they post a question on here and they see at least one person agrees with them, well then they must be right.
Its like when people go events and ask their friends what they're wearing. If one is at the same dress level (formal etc.) as his or her friends then no matter what else everyone else is wearing they're not over/under dressed.
People think as long as one person is doing what they're doing or thinking what they're thinking then they must be right.

If it`s too controversial and I know my opinions aren`t going to be the same as the askers, or agree with the rest of the answerers I don`t bother to reply to it. You`ll get too many thumbs down and potential violations.

Questions posted are not always for agreeing with the person who posted it.
Some questions I've seen are about "how" or "where" to go, do, get, or the like. Like for instance, "Where can I get a henna tatoo?" or "How should I homeschool my child?"
Don't be so hard on everyone. Generally, this site is for fun, info, and blogging.
Good Luck.

I don't give best answers based on who agrees and doesn't agree with me. I give best answers to those who most thoroughly answer my question, and/or was the most helpful of all answers provided.

Hmmm... I know what you mean... But sometime (unfortunatly) People pick who they have 'clicked with' one here rather than the actual best asnwer... A feeling of loyalty I suppose... But I always try to pick the best asnwer... Even if it's someone I've never heard of... It's only right..

people like to see that others share their opinion. they ask questions in order to see how many people would back them up and support them, and in this way it gives them a twisted view of being right and better than those that disagree. people like reassurance.
