No.. there is an interlock which will prevent this
(unless your ignition barrel is faulty)

You would loose electrical power and maybe your steering lock will activate once you have turned your wheel enough for it to lock.

You know how when you remove the key after you park your car and then turn the wheel it locks? Well, thats one thing that will happen if you happen to turn the wheel. One other thing that will happen is you will lose the power steering because it is engaged when the engine is running. You will also lose the electrical in the car as well except for the emergency lights such as the flashers which I recommend you turn on if you plan to do this foolish thing.

No ur not suppose to be able to but I had a car that use to do that. The reason why, because it must have been broken into before I bought it and that person must of broke the ignition. But normally the answer is no.

On newer cars you can not take the key out while the car is in drive. On older cars it's definitely possible and very dangerous expecially if they have power steering and power brakes.

On newer cars only if you want to have an accident. it turns the engine off with the power steering and brakes. Have a lucky day if you try it

It depends on the car. I could take the key out of the old Chevrolet Citation I had and also the Toyota Celica.

nothing unless you turn the off then you lose power steering and power brakes, you need those. on older cars the keys get wore and you can slide them out with the car running.l

No, unless there is a fault. If you did it would cut the engine and lock the steering, supposing you had power steering. Not a good idea.
