I would not call it an excuse because I denied it, I am just not an alcoholic. I will have a couple drinks on the weekend if that.

Alcoholism is not a disease has some liberals would have you believe. It is a lack of self control, no different than excessive cleaning, sex, smoking, etc.

If you get to the point where you want a change in your life and you need help to do so, more power to you. Some do it on their own.

If drinking is something you enjoy and is not causing legal, marital or employment issues. Don't let someone else tell you there is an issue just because you don't meet their puritian ideals.

I'm a drunk and happy. Alcoholics go to meetings and are depressed only because the government tells them they have a problem because they have a certain amount of something they enjoy. If you do some bad things while drunk (Violent, driving, cursing), your a bad drunk and should stop drinking. But if you can control yourself off a few beers after your done driving for the day and are happy with your life, screw what the government tells you is too much of something you enjoy.

I'm not an alcoholic, but because I drink so little I've been asked that. More often than not, I turn down the drink - not because I can't handle it, but because I don't usually find much enjoyment in drinking. I guess it stands out. I think people thought I was recovering or something.

People accuse me of stuff all the time. I deny being an alcoholic mainly because I don't drink.
