THere will never be no more or no less energy in the world.
Energy can not be made or get rid of.

So do you think the energy from a human body once it is has died goes to a new life, a baby (in human or animal form?) or does it float around like a ghost?

you can make energy by shaping or changing existing energy... you can also get rid of energy by using it up and changing it into a different form... but you cannot create more energy or destroy energy than already exists in a system.

Energy from the human body once it has died is recycled by nature.

When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass... so is the great circle of life.

in the sense of spirituality... if the human body contains a spirit that we have no measurement of, it is likely that it becomes recycled in a huge mass of spiritual energy that exists in the universe... or so I would think.

40 years ago there were 3 billion people on the planet. Now there is 6 billion people on the planet. That means there is 50% chance your "eternal soul" is less that 40 years old.

Do you remember any previous lives? If you can't remember any previous lives, then who is to say it will even be you who gets to live another life? You are a collection of memories, thoughts, beliefs, emotions. All of those things are made up of neurological tissue. So is your awareness of your self. So without this neurological tissue, you wouldn't be. Its not a coincidence, you being at the same time a brain resides in your head, you are actually made out of the brain tissue.

There is 'energy' in the body long after it stops functioning as it is now. Plants, animals and tons of other organisms will use that energy for their survival. Life consumes and procreates. The 'thing' that is there now is not the 'you' you have created but the unknowable. What we are and what will be there when this organism stops functioning can not be known with our knowledge and thought. It doesn't exist in the sense of tangible, perceivable presence like so many want to hold to. What ever we are, we are all it and completely one never ending, never beginning, unliving, undead, spontaneous, 'thing' that isn't held by the bounds of what we can understand.

I think you limited yourself by just limiting so much energy to the world, you have to think universe... and your right in the fact that energy cannot be destroyed or created.

So now your dead and a cluster of timeless pure energy somewhere in the cosmos........ boring...... I think you would want to do something, go somewhere, you have billions of choices and other dimensions,,,,,,,, your time on earth was just one ride at a timeless universal amusement park.... you can get on this ride again,,,, float around like a ghost for centuries or do something else , no limits, no boundaries ...... Just pure energy

Yes, it is possible to believe in anything you want to. Many people believe that their God caused evolution, or the big bang, or was the force behind the creation of life and the universe. Scientific theory might disagree with the bible (evolution in particular), so the religious reader must decide whether or not they take their holy book literally. Some may accept the theory, and claim the bible stories are a metaphor for real events.

I hear that you never leave until you fullfill your true calling or the work you were called to do. Till you reach full enlightenment.
From a scientific point of view you return to the earth and feed the continuancy of life. Some source of energy.

Life - a physical existence in a physical body with your specific soul, is a gift from God and is a time period of learning how to live in a physical body.
Phase of existence - many. We don't know how many phases of existence our souls experienced before we were born into a physical body, we don't know how many phases of existence our soul will experience after we die and our soul has been separated from our physical body.
Experience life. Use your energy in learning how to love and help others, how to feel your emotions, how to taste and smell good food, how to run and breathe and feel physically fit, and how to laugh and cry.
