This can depend on a number of factors. If you just do a straight insemination with your partners sperm and no ovulation induction for you, then you will have the cost of the ultrasound, the cost of sperm washing, and the procedure itself. That would total around 300-400$. If you use donor sperm then that would add an additional $150-500 depending on what donor you select. Also, if you have to use ovulation induction then you have to include the cost of the meds--clomid or injectables--anywhere from $20-2,000.

Depends on what you need. If there is nothing wrong with you and you just need sperm inseminated, you can do it yourself for the cost of the sperm (varies between $150 and $600 per vial) and a needleless syringe and some ovulation test kits. The success rate is not as high as a gyn because it is in your vagina, but it works. If you have a gynecologist do it, it is less than $1000 plus cost of sperm. The sperm is placed directly in your uterus through a tube inserted into and through your cervix. If using your partner's sperm, there is some additional cost because they have to prepare the sperm (remove the semen and just keep the little guys). If you have any other complications, the price goes up especially if you need a specialist. I have seen some posters claim that it cost them or their relative thousands, but these were not simple artificial inseminations. Clearly other stuff was going on in prepping either mom or sperm donor.

Ovulation induction (injectable fertility drugs) cost approximately $1,000 for one cycle and an IUI costs about $350. If this doesn't work, your next option is usually IVF which costs in the vicinity of $10,000 - $15,000.

It can cost anywhere from $500 up to $5000 depending on what procedures, tests, medications and doctors appointments are needed. Good luck ttc.
