of course it's possible, they keep coming back because they know you'll let them and they take advantage of that and you keep taking them back because you're weak when it comes to this person, you want to be with them so much that you'd do anything just to have them there, even subject yourself to the hurt and pain again and again.

Yes it is possible. I'm sure you mean losing someone as in "breaking up" with them, but you can lose someone without even breaking up with them.

My fiance and I live in different countries on the other side of the world. We've been together for 3 years now & becuz of the distance we can only see each other every few months (sometimes going 4-5 months without seeing each other). Everytime we are together it's absolute heaven. We have such a great time together no matter where we are. When it's time to come home or to send him home, it's heartbreaking. It feels like we're breaking up with becuz the pain is so simliar. I feel that same gut wrenching pain & that feeling of wanting to scream & cry. But we keep going, keep dealing with the distance & pain becuz we have faith that one day there will only be the happy moments & there will be no more pain.

yes, it's very possible to lose someone over & over again, because i've gone through that about-- well lets say 100 times now. they keep coming back because they love you and you keep taking them back because you love them. when you love someone, you are willing to take them back in a heartbeat & forget what happened... but it came to the point where we both got sick of it, so we just decided to end it & i'll tell you now... it won't get better no matter how hard you work at the relationship... after a couple of fights things go downhill... you will always love eachother but that love won't be enough one day

well sometimes we feel that they are all we have..

so we end up always going back to them Over & over again
(& this works vice-versa as well)
& i guess it becomes this sick cycle of losing them-winning them back-losing them....get them back again...etc..

because there's a little bit of hope that things will be better this time around, but soon you gotta understand that it's called a break up because it's broken. let it go...
