I don't ask McCann questions, but I am in Greece and can only follow the story on here. Why wasn't the apartment searched using these resources back in May and who decided to do it now?

I'm not blaming or criticising the police, I live on a Greek island and we wouldn;t have the resources for this kind of thing. I just want to know who decided 3 months down the line to bring in these new resources. had it been my child, I would have insisted on it on May 3rd.

Perhaps the Portugese police as a last resort after being blamed for not finding the poor child. Why are the police there getting so much flack over this?, after all it wasn't them that left her was it?. Also the poor kid was perhaps dead before the parents even discovered she was missing. Every one is talking about various agencies letting others down. The only person let down was little Maddy Mc Cann. I fear that, that blunder will never be resolved and I shudder to think how the parents must feel....... Not that I mean to be casting stones, we all make mistakes with our children sadly this mistake has ended so tragically. I pray that one day they may find some sort of peace.

Does it really matter? it's been done now! and there will be some answers, Steve F - do you really think that the McCann's could stop the British police becoming involved if the Portugese need their assistance? The law and the truth will out - whatever did or didn't happen on May 3rd.

All I can say is that it is all very tragic business,especially for those parents.Having to wake up everyday and feel like you can't escape your nightmare is a living hell!!! I just prey they find some resolve so that they can go on with their lives,what's left of it anyhow!
BTW, I used to live in Greece too.I lived there from 1988-1998 in Patras.

the British police.i have just learn ed that they also told the Portuguese police to either find some arrestable evidence against Murat or clear him.

It was the uk police who done that finally the police there asked for help! dont really agree in how they work things over there, yes this should of been done ages ago.
