Someone said something on here today that got me thinking - I was a little shocked - not offended - but disapointed that they thought that way - wanted to know what other people think of the connection!!!!!
Have more to say - but don't want to give it away right now!!!!
What do you think?!!!!

thankyou
someone got it right - sought of any way - I didn't ask for "comparison" - I asked for "connection" -
The thing the person said was - if you breast feed youre child you do not need to immunise!!!!! - very wrong - very iresponsible - Do you agree?!!!
the bonding issue is not what I am interested in - sorry don't mean to be rude - but that is for another question.

it is well known that the mothers milk is full of everything a baby needs. There is also an incredible bond between a nursing mother and a child.
Whilst breast milk contains nutrients and the likes it also contains antigens (think thats right) which increase the childs resistance to infection and illness

Breast feeding is thought to help the baby's developing immune system. The "immune system" is the function in the body that helps us resist getting various diseases. As noted by some persons, it can help babies from getting allergies. Obviously, not breast feeding is not that deleterious to a baby's health. Most people in the US who are middle aged were bottle-fed. Nowadays breast feeding has cecome socially acceptable again.
The term "immunization" is really a word to describe "vaccination." I don't think you mean that, though. Although some people think that vaccination is harmful to babies, this is a dangerous myth. The human population would be WAY smaller than it is if not for the technology of vaccination. It is true, however, that a very small number of persons will have a bad--even fatal effect in VERY RARE instances--from a vaccine (operative words are "very rare"). Also, it has been repeatedly proven that thimersol, used as a preservative in vaccines, is not associated with childhood disorders such as autism or ADHD.

i agree that the first 3 days are important. I fed my daughter but she was allergic to my milk. after 2 weeks i had to stop. she was covered in a horrible rash. actually it was something i was eating. doc said easier to quit nursing then trying to find the food source and keep torturing her with the rash. No way should a mother feel guilty. sorry but bonding isnt only from breast feeding. how about cuddling, kissing, hugging,, bathing, changing and all the sweet talk to name a few "bonding" ideas that may cause your baby to know you are mom. let alone feeding holding your little one while feeding with a bottle. do what is easy and comfortable to you as a mother. don't add any undo stress. the lack of sleep will do that for ya.

Isn't it the cholestrum (sorry about spelling) which mum produces for the first few days that passes on your immunity to the child.........I think its a good thing to pass it on if you want to breast feed although I don't think mums should be made to feel guilty if they don't want to.
Edit: I agree, breast feeding is NOT a substitution for immunisation - all 3 of mine have had all their injections - including the controversial MMR

Trust mother nature.Breast milk is made with all the things baby needs to get a strong immune system.Vaccinating a child(in my opinion)(I know I'll get thumbs down)is dangerous because of the harmful ingrediants to give to babys and adults.Do your research.Don't trust my opinion or anyone elses including the doctor.Find the facts and then come to your own conclusion and do what YOU think is best for your child, wether you vaccinate or not.Breast feed if you can even if it's a little bit to help with the childs overall health. My child will not be vaccinated. You can get a waiver to put your child in school!!Good luck and best wishes.

what i can say about this topic is this: a breast-fed child is less prone to sickness. mother's milk contains nutrients which give the child some sort of immunization to certain diseases like the common cold, respiratory diseases, etc. but if you are talking about immunization such as for typhoid fever, diptheria, pertussis, hepatitis, and others which are given to the child as he grows up, mother's milk is not a substitute for this kind of immunization.
