Records are broken all the time. Pitches are meant to be hit. Unless he gets struck by lightning, soon, Bonds WILL hit that homer, and the game, at the time will continue.

Imagine this scenario: The Giants are behind five runs. Barry hits the record breaker, but his team still loses the game. The pitcher gets a win for his team. For HIS players, he's a hero. For the fans, wherever the game is played, get to watch a piece of history.

Pretty much, everyone wins, that day.

How is this related to football? Why would you hate a pitcher for giving up one of 756 dingers? What about the other pitchers? Do we have to hate all of them too? If you hate Bonds, hate him. He's a jack@W@ and we all know it, but he is one heck of a baseball player, juiced or not.

No. Not many people even remember the pitcher that gave Hank Aaron his big homerun. Even some of the big name pitchers dont. They asked them on SportCenter. And like somebody said above me, more people will like him more than Barry.

Because it's an inevitable thing (for Bonds to hit that home run), it simply won't matter past this week's ESPN broadcast. No one will remember his name except for Barry Bonds.

No hatred for the pitcher. No pitcher wants that on their resume though, he'll be seeing that replay for the rest of his life on TV. His name will become a trivial pursuit answer though.

I think there will be more hatred for Bonds than the pitcher.

No. No one cares about the pitchers. He'll be forgotten. He won't be a Bill Buckner.
