Finding a commonality is a good start.
No one should push for immediate integration of cultures . A fence will be ok.
Awareness of the existence of the other is good for now. The hope is for the next generations to again- find commonality.
Children can always play with each other.

The first step would be to understand that the Western world doesn't have a conflict with the Muslim world. Granted, the West hasn't been very touchy-feely with Muslims in the past, but they have never drawn first blood. Well, maybe with Iraq II, but other than that the West has been the victim.

It's the Islamic world that started the conflict by trying to force its beliefs on the West.

Too much oil money . . . too few brains.

It's going to get far worse before it gets better . . .

Moderate Muslims must take control of their religion and begin teaching the children to love life, not death. To expose the children to the truth and not the lies they have been spoon fed since birth. It is only by changing the children that we can expect the Islamic world to move into the 21st century. How about some muslim children coming to the US to see what we are really like.
