this is the best season i saw in years!
and it's nice to see mclaren back in top after they struggled so much in the past years.i don't know if ferrari can overtake mclaren this year, i don't really think so.the liability of the car is not that good, the team doesn't move like it should be.twice the car failed on raikkonen, many small mistakes at pit lane that cost massa or raikkonen points.they might have the 1 chance on the next races but still 20 point between the leader and your best pilot say much.
so,i don't think that mclaren can be stopped this year even with all the problems they have now.hamilton will keep on scoring and alonso will try the best to prove he deserve his spot on the team.

Sanctions or penalties from the current spy scandal are the main issue that could derail Mclaren this season. If all points remain as they are at the moment, it would take a massive collapse to open the door enough for Ferrari. Ferrari have been extremely competitive most of the season, but have not managed to consistently have both drivers finish well, which has ultimately led to large gaps in both the driver's and constuctor's championship.
With a a total of 60 possible driver points remaining, and 108 possible constructor points, it will be difficult for either Ferrari driver to overtake the Mclaren pair... though, if Ferrari were to start consitently finishing both cars high in the points, they could mount a challenge on for the Consturctor's Championship (though this would require a change in Mclaren's success at finishing both of their cars high in the points as well).

Yes, but not likely.
Eventhough there are several things that could distract McLaren at the moment- the Stepney case, the rivalry going on between Lewis and Alonso and the fact that Ron Dennis is fed up with their attitudes, I don't think Lewis and Alonso would lose focus on their driving.
McLaren have the best car (and the best driver partnership- but not exactly the drivers who can get along best) on track. Eventhough Ferrari are improving, the stolen information McLaren have on their car and their Bridgestone tyres (780 pages) have definitely helped them in still outdoing Ferrari's pace.
In McLaren, both Lewis and Alonso are doing extremely well this year (in terms of driving, not attitude) while in Ferrari, Kimi has been doing better than Massa. Okay, how many times (this year) have we seen a McLaren driver on podium? Compared with how many times we've seen a Ferrari driver on podium...?
Go figure.

With McLaren not winning points in the Constructor's Championship at Hungary (if that indeed sticks), it is possible Ferrari with some wins could overtake the lead there, however in the Driver's Championship it is going to take something we have not seen this year—poor reliability from McLaren—for either Raikkonen or Massa to reach the top of the standings.
At any rate, having four contenders yet, with 2/3 of the season done, is great.

mclaren can be stopped - by a court. if they lose the spy case against ferrari, chances are they'll be dropped of this season immediately, plus next season too.

that's very much true. what i wouldnt mind seeing is the mclarens to have 1 dnf each to close the championship up more entertaining for us!
i wouldnt hold your breath tho this spy scandal and fia wouldnt pass me if mclaren will get points docked
but anyways this great championship that we have will always be tainted with the cheating and unsportmanlike behavior we have been seeing this year.
Hopefully the best is yet to come!
