Check at germanstar.I know the injection pumps are different,I would think maybe the lift pump is different.Lift pumps don't usally fail.Tank screens get clogged. You can add a generic electric fuel pump from Napa at $45.it will help your diesel if you later run WVO.I'm adding one to my 300SD.
It will nurse a sick pump along for that million miles.

Just to be sure...are we talking about a 300TD (diesel station wagon), or a 300DT(turbodiesel sedan)?
If it's the former, then they are the same. If it's the latter, there are many subtle changes between the turbo and the non-turbo five cylinder. The injection pump would not be the same.

as long as both are turbo or both are non-turbo they will interchange [td means touring diesel] note fuel control linkages vary from car to car so save your old stuff and it may be wise to keep your old exhaust manifold if non turbo good luck on your swap it is not recommended to install a turbo on a non-turbo engine

I would imagine the "T" stands for turbo.
