The Lovely Bones was the last one. I was sitting in a chair with coffee more than likely. I seem to do that most of the time. In fact, I am sitting in a chair with coffee right now. I need to change some things up I guess.

I read the book "The Testament" by John Grisham.
In the book, A wealthy tycoon, who is one of the top 10 wealthiest men in the world, disinherits from his will his 2 ex-wives and children, who he thinks are idiots and leeches, and leaves his heir to an unkown woman missionary living somewhere in the Brazillian rain forest. An alcoholic atty. is given his last job as atty. to find the woman and inform her of her fortune. He goes on the "adventure" of a lifetime as he battles the rain forest in the middle of the worst rainy season its ever had. Of course, back in civilization, the disinherited mob each hire attys. and begin their fights for their shares of the multi-billion dollar fortune.
I am assuming by that question, you are asking (in the 2nd part of your question) what was I doing at the same time I was reading? If so, I sometimes watch a t.v. or movie rerun while reading a book. I move around throughout the day when I read. Sometimes I'm on the bed, sometimes on a chair, sometimes on my couch, at the lunch table (when alone) etc... I even listen to the radio while reading sometimes, but usually, I like silence while I'm reading. I take books with me on errands when I know I'll be sitting for awhile such as when I go to the Dr.'s office, license branch, on an appointment, etc...
My favorite place to read is under a large shade tree on a cool to slightly warm day in a reclining lawn chair while sipping on lemonade or other refreshing drink.
Some people read while taking a bath. I never do that because I hate for my books to get wet and it is very uncomfortabel trying to hold my book out of the water while bathing and reading.

The last really good book that I read was Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut. Absolutely brilliant (or so it goes!). I read most of it on the way to work during the Underground ride, the rest with a nice cup of coffee on my sofa.
Since that book, I unfortunately read 2 really bad books, which is not worth mentioning

I absorb books, I am an avid reader, I enjoy reading far more than viewing television.
The last book I read was about the rise and fall of the Chagra dynasty.

Just reread 1984, with a spiff and a g&t. A worry that Orwell seemed to predict society 59 years in the future. Read it and see if it rings bells about how your life is run.

Actually, "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson! I'm trying to revisit some of the classics I didn't appreciate in my younger days when I was forced to read them for school. LOL
I always read when I get in bed at night, it's how I wind down.
