So I'll be divorsed tomorrow and my bro is throwing me a party to celebrate that I won't be married to a complete a**. So I met this guy and I know its wrong b/c I was still married and just separated, but I was wondering I think it would be tacky to bring him, but how do I tell him he isn't invited. He understands everything and has been really good about dealing with it all. I think he will be fine but I'm just not sure how to say it nicely. Or should I just bring him b/c I'll be single and just tell everyone that its our first date?

If you want to bring him, then bring him. People don't have to know that you have been dating. If he has been understanding if things so far, ask him if he would mind being introduced as a friend at this party. However, lots of people start seeing other people when they are seperated and prior to the divorce becoming final. It's not that taboo these days. I saiy if you like the guy and he likes you, then that's just how it is. If those who love you are throwing you a party because you are finally free from an a**hole, then why would they balk at the idea of having a decent person in your life?

If you think it would be tacky and he's very understanding then just celebrate with family and friends. You can start seeing him later. It does seem a little weird to me to bring my new guy to a party celebrating the demise of an old relationship no matter how crappy it was.

don't bring him that's incredibly tacky. Just explain it to him that it would look wrong to bring a date to a divorce party. Make plans to go out another night and celebrate with him just the two of you.

I think having a divorce party is tacky in the first place. Why celebrate the break up of a marriage...after all there was something about the person that you married that you loved. Oh what the heck....bring him anyways....add more tack to the tack.

Lies are never the answer to anything. Bringing this guy to the party would indeed be tacky and would say a little something about you. Just ask this guy to set this one out as you are afraid of reprocussions. Good luck.

Give it some time. Yes it would be tacky. That is one reason are society is so jacked up-we hop from one bed to another so easily, like changing your under pants. Take time if he is still there or can just be ONLY freinds but sound as if its went to far for that. Chill out lick your wounds enjoy not being kept by a jerk...

Divorce, divorce. Its your party bring whom ever you want to. You are single, and you don't have to explain anything to anyone. You just introduce him as what ever his name is...you don't have to call him a friend a lover a boyfriend or anything. And when they ask who he is to you, you just smile and say wouldn't you like to know...and then laugh. Its the new you, you can be mysterious if you want.

the guy who filed the grievance for divorce could serve the different social gathering with the papers. the guy who grew to become into served with the papers receives a large gamble to respond to the grievance for divorce with their element of the tale.
