Yes, I really do.
Two weeks ago Obama said that if he was president and had actionable intelligence about the location of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan, he would send troops to kill them. He was painted as naïve and dangerous.
Two days ago, Bush suddenly changed his mind, and stated that he would do the same, but he would not say whether he would get permission from Musharraf first. Today, of course, the Pakistanis have made a full military assault on terrorist enclaves, the first in many years.
Funny thing, now Musharraf has conducted a raid.

Although I totally disagree with what Obama said, the Pakistan govenment knows where these extremists are but they won't do anything about it. I think the Pakistan government is feeling the heat and the running out of patience from the American people and government. If we would have kept the heat on Pakistan in the first place instead of going into Iraq, we may have captured Bin Laden and Zawahri already. Then again, maybe the Bush administration doesn't want that to happen. It's their trump card to instill fear into the American people every time an election comes up.

What really happened is Barak read the public news that we're putting alot more pressure on Pakistan and we're also 'considering' air attacks on terrorist positions in Pakistan with or without their approval . Buy because he doesn't understand the situation at all , he regurgitated the news to sound smart but ended up being dumb and exposed himself as uninformed . Sure , we just might hit those positions without 'official' Pakistani approval , but what Barak doesn't know is that the approval would be given 'unofficially' in order for Musharref to both privately condone the action and publicly to disavow it . These are the nuances of balancing Musharref's power . And that is a current must considering he's hanging on by a thread with his public and if he were to fall then Radical Islamists would be in control of nuclear weapons TOMORROW .

No, I don't. But I do believe that we must ALL keep the focus on Pakistan and its passive approach to those pigs Al Qaeda in Waziristan.
I do think that any time a politician -- and that includes Obama -- shines a light on Musharref's inaction vis-a-vis Al Qaeda, it's good pressure.

I don't think he scared them, but his mentioning of his plan to target terrorists in Pakistan probably served as a wake up call that this was a necessary action for America to take on the war on terror. They claim to be our ally, so they should act like it.

I like to think that they were finally motivated to do somthing.
Pakistan is the most dangerous spot in the world and the world, and not just America, needs to be prepared to play a part in this if it goes to the extremist.
Can you imagine a nuke armed Jihad.

Don't really care what caused them to do it, just glad they are finally attempting to act like our ally.
