"What kind of man finds that attractive?" The kind of man who likes to lock horns with an intelligent, educated woman over dinner and then have hot sex, that's who. I don't have to choose betwen being the smart girl OR the fun girl OR the serious girl OR the sexy girl. I get to be all those things and I've never lacked for male attention.
Men certainly don't worry about hiding their intelligence or confidence, why should women? The most successful men you know (whether in politics, business or sports) have the hugest egos on the planet. It's not a bad thing--it enables ambition and makes people more than just talk.
Confidence is attractive to others who also have confidence. We all gravitate to a partner who has a similar comfort level with themselves as we do, and there's nothing wrong with that. I'm sure some women will annoy you with their confidence, and you can exact your revenge by not dating them. Newsflash: they're not interested in you either.

What is "overboard with confidence"?
When you go on further and describe a "snotty type woman", I don't think of that type of person as overly confident; and usually "snotty type men" find them attractive.
I've got plenty of self confidence, and it took me years to get it, after tons of run-ins with arrogant men and women alike, where I managed to hold my own, and I've been married for over 25 years.

SOME women do, yes, and it's highly annoying. It's up to each man what he's attracted to and isn't attracted to. Same as the other way around. SOME men are overconfident to the point where you want to knock them down a peg or two. The type that actuallly whistle at you and wink and make suggestive comments....

The behavior you're describing sounds more like arrogance than confidence.
It is very unattractive and my guess is that this woman doesn't want to attract any male attention for whatever reason. If she did, she would know how to be more flirty. She sounds more like she wants to keep things on a business level and go no deeper.

I don't think there is anything wrong with having a lot of confidence. If it makes you happy, why not? There are people out there that think they are better than everyone else but I think that's just being conceited.

The same type of man that overcompensates with the super expensive car, who spends three hours getting ready, and puts down everyone with his big jerk mentality. They are a match made in heaven!

There's no such thing as too much confidence.
"Very to the point monotone snotty women"? What the hell is that? That's YOUR bag, babe, not reality.
You obviously know somebody like that and you don't like her (duh . . . ).
Confident, smart men find confident, smart women attractive. Whiny little snots find them threatening.
