I have identified that my electronic flasher is in my dash behind the stereo of my 99' Pontiac Grand Am. I was not able to access it by coming up from underneath on either the driver or passenger sides. What is my best option for getting back there (behind my 4 way flashers) to replace the electronic flasher?

The way to change this is to simply remove the trim plate around the radio and then you can easily replace the switch/flasher assembly. The switch and flasher are all the same part and used to be covered as a factory recall. Good luck.

the flashers are contorlled by the hazrd light switch above the radio. to remove it, just pull the trim out around the radio, and unhook it. its pretty easy. if that doesnt solve your problem, which i doubt it will, then its your turn signal switch/wiper switch located behind your stearing wheel.

good luck

i would go to your local automotive store and pick up either a chilton manual or a haynes manual for your car, in those it should tell you all the steps of how to take out the dashboard
