a pretty simple but large molecule named PolyTetrafluoroethylene(PTFE), as we call it. I think they call it teflon.
atleast the guiness records say so.

According to the Guinness Book of Records, TEFLON, the substance used to coat non stick frying pans etc.

Its chemical name is Poly(tetrafluoroethylene) and it will not chemically bond to anything.

That might be one way of defining slipperiest but if you were to walk on a surface coated with the stuff you probably wouldn't regard it a particularly slippery unless it was covered in oil or something similar.

I'd say ice or oil would take a bit of beating in the slippery stakes but I like the comment somebody made about the slipperiest substance being Tony Blair when he's answering questions!!

Teflon has the same coefficient of friction as wet ice on wet ice, so two smooth pieces of teflon are as easy to slide over each other as wet ice on wet ice is.

um err could it poss be Teflon????

Although Portland's ice might run a close second, the title of World's Slipperiest Substance actually belongs to Teflon

There is an experiment you do in school physics using dry ice (solid carbon dioxide). A puck of dry ice sliding over a solid base of dry ice is separated by a layer of sublimed gas making it effectively frictionless.

A lawyer? Salesmen? Politician?

I jest.

It'll probably be a vacuum. If you put nothing between two things, they won't slide across each other.
