OK my sport loving friends from across the pond. I love Great Britain, but find me a better hit in any sport in Europe. By the way, this kid was 16 years old.

Just so everyone knows, this is just in fun. I agree with one of the comments, both sports are spectacular in their own right.

I think its hilarious how americans think thats a talent! Running 30mph and barging someone to the ground is not a talent. American football is shite on toast.

I can't show you anything right now, but I'll speak from experience.
Notice how the people nearby aren't "freaking out"?
Even just a short celebration on the field of the solid hit.
In American football this happens all the time. In fact the kid doing the hitting is off form.
Boys are taught to hit solid with thier shoulder, wrap thier arms around the ball carrier and keep thier feet moving to drive them to the ground. You have a copy of a very solid collision, but only half of a textbook tackle.

That was a great hit, and I love American football, but I'm not sure why this really has anything to do with soccer?

They're very different sports, and people are entitled to enjoy whichever they want. And as much as I love football (American style), I'm not going to say that it's "better" than soccer. To each their own.

Lammy - There's much more to it than that. I've coached and officiated several sports, and football is very difficult. Eleven players all need to follow their assignments or the whole play is ruined.

The QB left the RB out to dry on that one...

Just the same, why start a flame war, and why do we still do the whole soccer vs. football argument. Both are beautiful games.

Yes that's great if you want to see big padden men (or boys) knock the sh*t out of each other, but if you want to see skill, finesse and strategy you have to watch real football (soccer). I also noticed that the boy did not tackle the other boy, instead he used his helmet as a weapon, diving head first into the face of his opponent. Would he have done that without the pads and helmet?

I find that pretty disturbing.

Any parent who leaves their kid "open" to that kind of abuse needs their head examining. On the other hand, America is running short of cannon fodder. Perhaps these kids have a future in the marines protecting the "free" world.
