Gretzky in his office (behind the net), Lemieux near the left faceoff circle, Sakic near the right faceoff circle (because Sakic is clutch), Brett Hull in the slot ready for a one-timer with his wicked slapper, and Orr and Bourque on the points. I'd then have Gretzky try to get the puck to Hull in the slot for a one-timer and have Sakic and Lemieux try to put in the rebound if Hull doesn't score. Or, if Gretzky can't get the puck to Hull, then I'd have the puck go to Bourque on the point so he can pass it to Orr for a one-timer, and then I'd have all 6 guys go to the front of the net for the rebound. And if that won't work then I'd just give the puck to Lemieux and see what happens.

Bobby Orr and Denis Potvin on the point. Wayne Gretzky at centre and the wingers Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr (re-united with Mario), Bobby Hull and Phil Esposito (great garbage goals standing in front of the net, a-z passes from Orr and a huge heart).
Soon to be replaced by Ovechkin and Crosby.

I want
1. Jaromir Jagr
2. Darcy Tucker
3. Kyle Wellwood
4. Joe Thornton
5. Jonathon Cheecho
6. Zdeno Chara
I would Play Jagr at the Blue line with Chara, They provide hard shots. i would play Darcy tucker beside the right side of the net to do his little signature tip in and wellwood on the other side to give him a pass. and i would put Jonathon Cheecho Rotating through the Center to take passes and score with his great accuracy, and i would play cheecho somewhere off to the side in the middle, to provide shorter passing to keep it away from the Penalty Killers.
I think thats a great line-up! lol, i like it anyways.
Edit- It wasn't said if we could use reitred old players... so i placed what i thought was a good Active player line up.

In their prime
left wing Mario L
center Gretzky
right wing Le Fleur
Left Defence Bob Gainey
Right defence Bobby Orr
Goalie Tretiek
There are many teams which will neglect the goalie.

Rod Brind'amour for the Faceoff. i think of that's a given. he's the league's terrific year after year AND for a key faceoff, i'd like a greater guy that Datsyuk. Wingers: With some seconds left, you like snipers. easily, Heatley and Kovalchuk. protection: Get me a reliable shot on internet. Souray and Lidstrom. participant for pulled goalie: Ovechkin. If the goalie isn't pulled (why might you're able to take action with those 5 gamers), i might have Ron Hextall in internet.. by no potential hurts to have a 6th guy on the ice which could score. :)

well
Nylander the center because he is a playmaker
Shanahan at the wing because he is a scorer/playmaker
Jagr , a lethal shooter and a scorer
Drury for his speed (incase the other team break out and start a breakaway) and scoring ability
Leetch , a great powerplay playmaker
My extra attacker would be Great one , #99 because well , he is great
there are a few guys i would like to put on and they are Sakic , Chara (because he can screen the goalie with his size) Briere and etc.

Wayne Gretzky (C) Mario Lemieux, (W) and Jagr (W).
Bobby Orr (D) Rod Brind' Amour (on D) and Sidney Crosby as the Extra attacker.
Orr is an offensive defenseman who can defend and keep empty netters out, and Brind' Amour brings the best defense to the forward position. Put him on D because he can defend, but you don't need another d-man to take the point when you have an empty net. It's score or else.
