In 1993 my mom bought me a TY Beanie Baby named Brownie. I took the tag off and threw it away. In the year 1998 when the beanie baby craze hit, I found out that this plush toy would be worth 5000 dollars if it had it's tag. But since it didn't have a tag it was worth about 2000 dollars. Now this beanie baby is worthless, dollar wise because nobody collects these anymore. But it has a sentimental value because my mom bought it for me.

YEP, i'm a sales rep for pampered chef and I'd just held a $1000 show and i threw the envelopes with the checks in it in the trash...OOPS
I've gone to the bank taken out $500, went to lunch and left the bank envelope on the table...
Luckily both times i've gotten it back!

Yes I gave my elderly mother $ 900.00 not realizing the extent of her poor memory ( later found to be Alzheimer's ) and she in turn threw it away in the trash . I should have just deposited it in her account so I blame myself .

no, never did that one before. I a bit obsessive compulsive, so i always know exactly how much money I have at any given moment. If you tell me where you tossed it, I'd help you find it. *grin*
