hypnosis works on those who are highly suggestible, but usually only for the short term. it is used to reinforce what you really want to do, so if you are not committed to changing, it will do you no good. It is kind of a support for self discipline, not a replacement for it.

It would be better if you could go to a hypnotherapist and get yourself treated for the habits. Self hypnosis is great, but since there is addiction involved, your subconscious mind wont accept the self inflicted suggestions. A professional hypnotherapist will know where your weaknesses are and treat you accordingly.

I wish you all success in your endeavour.

No. Self hypnosis is not the solution. I would suggest AA or NA if you are serious. They have a very high sucess rate. If you are unable to get to meetings in your area, I believe there are onsite "meetings". Lots of support and no judgement.

It's a supporting mechanism but you are the one who has to change. Habits are the results of your thoughts. Your thoughts produce neuropeptide responses which literally makes any thought a "thing."

So if you want a new habit, think new thoughts.

It's all comes down to you: 100%

Good luck.
