No, not quite yet.
However there are some reasons that you think this.
1) Many "kiddos" go on holiday at this time of year so there seems to be less of them.
2) At this day and age many "kiddos'" ideal holiday is stuck at home in front of the telly. (I'm not stereotyping here, I like being stuck in front of the telly as well)
3) 70% of the "kiddo" population are afraid to come out of their house in England according to the Times newspaper. This may be similiar in the USA.

I live in the Commonwealth Of Virginia. We have a state law that says schools cannot start before Labor Day. Therefore, our kids will not go back to school until September 4.

No, most schools start later in the month. And the high school that I attended does not start classes until the week after Labor Day.

Not all of them. I don't know if any of them have in this county. I go back the 27th, but most of the public schools go back later, closer to September. Some might even start in september, i don't know. Hope this helped.

It's only August 7. The kids in my area don't go back until the last week of August, on the 28th or 29th.

I don't go back to school until like 3 or 2 week later! I'm so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so sad going back to school!

I live in a southwest suburb of Chicago, and my son will be starting his freshman year of high school on August 15th.
