I am pro life by the way... People support abortions because they claim that the ... embryo isnt a living human being. Well, if its not living.. then what is it? Dormant? Then what happens when there is a misscarraige? Surely it didnt DIE because for it to die it had to be living in the first place. So what happened? It just stopped working, is that it? I really dont understand this frame of mind at all. Pro Choice people please explain....

This is a very big debate in politics so share your views.

DENO:::

"dont know why you insist on pushing what you beleive on everyone else. If you disagree with abortion, than dont get an abortion. "

Yeah well looks like the mother is pushing her right to kill on her unborn child. Maybe the Child didnt disagree wiith abortion. Sucks for him doesnt it?

It is living. If he or she has a heartbeat, they're alive.

Even if the heart isn't beating yet and the mothers body is providing the nutriets and blood pressure, that's no different than a man in a coma or hooked up to life support.
What's the difference?

When Roe vs. Wade was passed, I'm sure Satan (if you believe in that) laughed and danced with Joy.

The real question is, "When does the constitutional right to life apply to a fetus?"

You seem to argue that this right should apply to a single cell.

OK so be it. If you believe that, you must also believe there should be a police investigation in every miscarriage, every malformed child. There would be no less for a toddler.

There could be NO exceptions for rape or incest. You cannot kill a toddler due to these factors.
ALL fertility clinics would have to be shut down. They discard embryos.
There could be NO exceptions for the health of the mother. Court appointed attorneys would have to represent the interests of the embryo in the case that a doctor deems a pregnancy dangerous to the mothers health. It sometimes is true that a pregnancy will kill a mother. Now that will be a court's choice.

The constitution would insist on it.

Anyone and everyone could complain that the pregnant mother was not behaving properly for the interest of the fetus and the courts would have every right to get involved just as they do for a toddler.

In ten years time we will be able to regress skin cells to embryo status. What will you do then?

technically it is alive and living, it is growing and when it gets to the stage where it has a brain and breathing then i dont see how people can say it isnt living.
you can hear the heartbeat thus it is living.
when people say that i think it is a less literal sense,
like it is living and breathing inside the womb but not in the world as present, a total being, being one person.
they also dont have the rights that a 'living' person would have - as in they dont have the right to life, as it is being made for them (whether someone has an abortion or not)
i am also pro life, however i think it is something, like many other issues (religion etc.) that one side say something and the other side deny it or come up with reasons why it is wrong and is how they say.

My view is that abortion isn't something that should have been politicized. What a woman does with her own body is her business. Period. And making abortion illegal will not stop it. Any more than making pot illegal has stopped people from growing, distributing and smoking it. It will just drive it underground which will make it impossible to regulate how and when it's done.

Within the first trimester, the fetus is essentially a parasite, dependent on it's mother for every bit of life. I do not believe in abortions after the first trimester except in cases where the mother's life is at risk.

It is interesting that you mention this is a big debate in politics. The republicans have been in power for 7 years and had plenty of opportunities to try to overturn Roe vs Wade. They really don't want to do anything with the abortion issue except keep it alive in the minds of the public so they can toss it around when it comes time to campaign. As far as I am concerned, it has been decided by the Supreme Court. Let's move on.

Some docters(please dont angry at me for this) have compared it too cancer. It is an unwanted growth in the body.

I dont know why you insist on pushing what you beleive on everyone else. If you disagree with abortion, than dont get an abortion. But if someone else wants to get one, than its their god given right.

Im only 16 and for my whole life my parents have made decision for me, so why should a half a month old baby be allowed to decide whether it lives or dies? I didnt ask to be baptized and quite frankly, i would have rather of not of been. because everyone in my church are rupeblican hypocrits like you. Your probly for the death penalty even though jesus tought to forgive. Jesus is specifically againts capitiol punishment, and says nothing about abortion.

You could apply this logic to anything. Is a cancerous tumor living? Certainly after you remove it, it dies? Is my finger living? If I remove it, it dies. The difference between living, and consciously alive it the ability to survive outside a host. An embryo can't survive outside a womb, so it is part of that womb. An 8 month old fetus is capable of surviving, thus it is considered an independent life. That is why the abortion laws are in place to only give abortions after 6 months if it is for medical reasons.

Abortion is Murder of the first degree!!

The Anti-Life people don't think that the unborn have a right to life!!

As American Patriot said, the Anti-Life people will suffer the torment of Hell!!

God help America!!
Please pray for America!!

EDIT:

Many make the claim that a growing unborn child is a "potential life" and that is so ignorant.

Potential life exists before sex, The very split second that the sperm goes through the egg wall a baby begins to grow.

So if you abort, you are committing Murder in the first degree.

I support a woman's choice to make that decision because I think she is the only one who can and should. She's the one who knows which way is the right path for her, not bureaucrats sitting in the cheap seats.
