I know what you feel like. I got out of practice for a while and was doing awful, almost not able to hit the ball. The way I did it was went back to the basics and built up my game one step at a time. Analyze your game or have someone do it for you. Find out what your weak point is and work around it. My weakness is probably shot analysis, knowing where the shot will go, and I am often killed by lobs that fly over me to the baseline while I am at the service line. I can usually solve this by guarding the baseline. Also, a trainer/coach will definitely improve your game.

Take a break. Two years ago, the #1 singles player on my high school team had a bad season. He had only about 2 wins and over a dozen losses. After the season ended he stopped playing tennis and took a 50 day break. The next season he did much better and finished with a winning record. A break from tennis can do wonders if you are in a slump.

I currently play league tennis for a local team, I to had been suffering for a while. I play 3/4 times a week competitive tennis, it was becoming a chore. Take time out between matches to go back to having fun and hitting the ball without any pressure. I assure you it works.

i don't think that thinking of tennis in terms of wins vs losses is the best way to look at it.
if you are playing the absolute best you can play, i mean really focused on each shot and completely present for each moment of every stroke and lose - then you are just playing very good players who are able to beat you and you shouldn't get down about it.
but if you are beating yourself with double faults and flubbing easy put away shots at the net, etc, then i can see why you would be frustrated.
if you have a complete game (meaning you can hit all six strokes) and stay low and really focused and moving you best and really staying on your toes - you will not be easy for ANYONE to beat.
also think about your match selection. if you are playing tournaments, you need to think about grouping them together rather than just training for one. the same thing goes for important matches.
if you train hard for one match and have an off day, it's important to have another important match coming up shortly - too soon for you to think about your last loss.
if you group your tournaments/important matches together you will find it hard to become down about one loss or another and the next thing you know you will find yourself in the quarter finals of a tournament or in the middle of a winning streak.
this is the greatest sport ever - just being out there and being able to play the game well is a huge gift.
don't think in terms of having a good year or bad when trying to figure out how successful you are at tennis. instead think in terms of how many decades you have been playing and improving.
i'm 47 and have been playing for about 35 years and this afternoon after work, i have a lesson and am still improving my game.

what you need to do is go back to where you started from. Learn to hit and feel the ball again and move your feet. You can play sports like soccer to help with you foot work or swimming to help with your conditioning. i know how it is you put the racket down for 2 week and when you pick it up again its like you've never played before this happened to me during wimbledon i wanted to watch it and didnt get to go play so i sucked royally for about 3 weeks

Well, practice!
More practice on all of your strokes, and a lot of pratice matches. Try best of 5 or 7 sets.
If it's because you got tired, work on your fitness.
And don't give up on any point, don't let up mentally.
