Can I please just correct the user who said that a bloated face is a sign of preeclampsia. You will cause this pregnant woman and other pregnant women out there to panic! Almost all pregnant women out there have experience some sort of accumulation of fluid in their body.

Yes, bloating can be a sign of preeclampsia especially if there is a SIGNIFICANT difference between your face pre-pregnancy and the present. But you have to understand, it is normal to have some edematous changes in a pregnant womans body. But it is not the main factor in the diagnosis of preeclampsia!

Preeclampsia is a condition where pregnant women have high blood pressure and proteinuria (presence of protein in urine). In order to diagnose preeclampsia, the pregnant woman should have high blood pressure and a positive urine protein test.

As for weight loss... your face can still go back to normal. I gained 60 pounds and I was huge and my face was huge and everything was huge. After losing 30 pounds in a month, my face was back to normal although my body was not.

There is anecdotal evidence that breastfeeding can make you lose weight faster but is not yet proven by trials. It is also important for you to keep moving, exercise and eat right for you to lose that baby weight.

Aside from the 10 pounds during birth, I would have to say my face. Anytime I loose weight it shows in my face first. I know what you mean by the puffy face, but we can not help it. And the plus is that the facial skin has more elasticity, do you won't get stretch marks or stretchy left over skin.

Your face is bloated? Is this something new? Just happened recently? Woke up and there it was? How about your hands and feet, are they swollen?

A swollen bloated face is a sign of preeclampsia.

If you just mean that you've put weight on your face, thats different.

I lost weight on my thighs and face and arms, and then on my middle. In that order.

you're just getting close to the end and retaining water.
my feet and ankles swelled like CRAZY towards the end.

all that will go away when you ahve the baby.
as for actual weight gain...not water retention....i lost the most in my legs post-baby.
when you have a kid you're on your feet ALL THE TIME!
