Your biological clock is ticking away and you want kids and .....??

Question

you are not married or in a relationship, are you willing to be a single mother (on purpose). I mean get pregnant by a sperm donor or adopt. What do you women think about this.....is time running out to make a logical decision? Is having children important to you?

Honestly, if I was not married, and getting older, I would definitely get a sperm donor. I've always wanted children (and thank God I'm married and working on it), but if I was like some of my cousins who are already hitting 30 and still not even dating or in a serious relationship...then I would definitely go that route.

I wouldnt create a child without a husband. There more to raising a child than its survival, theres emotional and develomental needs that are met by having two parents.

If I knew I was not going to marry, and I wanted children before I was too old to raise them, I would adopt. There are so many innocent children out there without parents, i cant see adding to that mess out of my own selfish desire.

But each woman makes her own decision, based on what she believes to be true and right.

I am also in this kind of difficult situation and also trying to have children but in my case its with a very close friend who is married but is equally looking for kids. we both agree to try and if it clicks we will support each other to raise the kids

why not look for a willing partner that will support you instead

i'm 28 going on 29 next month in 2005 i get married and i still dont have children. yeah i feel that time is running out i do love to have children

Do you have any single/gay male friends in the same boat?.maybe you could co-parent together or something!.you could draw up a legal agreement so it does not cause problems.
