I want to hear your opinions on this. I am not interested in answers like "well seems like it could be" or "it depends". give me a well thought out answer bc this is an important question. I have an opinion which I will give after the main opinions on this topic have been presented.

The Real Question here is "when does a baby/fetus/zygote become human. I argue that there are 4 differences between a baby in the womb at any stage of development past conception, none of which are good reasons to kill it.
1)size. the baby is smaller than a grown person. so is a toddler. killing a toddler is murder.
2)level of dependency. it depends on the mother for life. so does a breast-fed baby. killing a breast-fed baby is murder
3)environment. it is encased in fluid. so am i when i am swimming. it is murder to kill me when i am swimming.
4)degree of development. it is much less developed than an adult. so is a three-week old. it is murder to kill a 3 week old.

Abortion is wrong. Period. The second the woman conceives, there is a baby. Are you not a person now? So you try to tell me your weren't a person when you first started? You were simply small and undeveloped but a person nonetheless.

The best argument I could see is the "what ifs". What if I/She was raped, incest, and other situation of that extreme. Yes it may have been against your will, with your brother/sister/family member but it is still a PERSON. If you were raped and had gotten pregnant, don't kill it but put it up for adoption. There are PLENTY of loving couples you love to take care of your baby for various reason. They may not be able to have kids or like to take care and raise kids. Give your baby a chance to live. What if your mom and dad decided they didn't want the responsibility of raising you and had you aborted. You never had a chance to experience what have now and you didnt even have a choice. Life is precious.

If you think you are "responsible" enough to have sex before you are married (which you shound not be doing anyways) you must accept the realities, NOT CONSEQUENCES!, of what can happen. There are other options besides murdering your baby. You wouldn't kill it when its 12 years old, why kill it when its 12 weeks? You have to start somewhere. No matter the age, its still a baby.

-You stop smoking for 10 years, but the first week you stopped, you have only quit for 1 week.

-You had gotten pregnant and now your kid is 10 years old but the first week when it conceive it was STILL a week old.

It all starts somewhere. It still a baby inside, it is undeveloped and tiny but a still a baby.

Yes, at any point it is wrong. Life should not be taken; whether asked for or not. This baby (some people like to say "embryo, not baby") is innocent and did not asked to be born or brought into the world. When someone has an abortion they are not being victimized, the baby is being victimized. This baby is being killed. Do you realize how they do this when you are far enough along and it actually is a baby? Do you know what partial birth abortion actually isl? They take and put the women in labor and deliver the baby normally and then once the head is out they stab the baby in the back of the head with scissors and kill it?! How is this right? How is it right at any stage to kill any human being, especially a baby!? This is a very touchy issue and I know that some people believe that well, if I'm gonna die or the baby is gonna die anyways or well, I don't know what to do, I was raped. I don't care. I am sorry that you are facing a life and death situation, I am sorry that you were raped; but, the matter of the fact is, if God didn't want you to be pregnant and there was no reasoning or learning experience for you with this situation, then, you would not be pregnant. God does these things for reasons. To teach us how to be stronger. Do not ever abort any child!

The only opinion that I can give you is that I could not do it. My pregnancy came as a shock, we found out at 6 weeks. We had dipped a toe in the water of having an abortion when it hit me what I was about to do. There was no way i could kill my baby, planned or otherwise.

I fell in love with my baby the moment I first saw his heart beat on the scan. My Husband and I agreed that if he had Downs, then we would have an abortion. However I knew that no matter what, i was keeping my baby. Luckily the baby was fine.

Some religious people feel that the baby does not have a soul until it draws its first breath. The Bible doesn't consider it a full human. I think until it can be withdrawn from the womb and survive on its own without any ill effects - then abortion is unnecessary.

The best is where a child at any stage can be removed from one womb to another - then abortion is unnecessary.

It really depends on ones views. Many think that at the moment of conception that is when life starts, others believe that it is not until the fetus is fully developed...... Whatever you views Abortion is such a taboo topic.

You have many who don't believe in it at all..... Then you have those who don't believe in it unless there are extenuating circumstances (such as the baby is mental retarded or has sever birth defects)

Then there are those who have an accidents because they are careless and opt for an abortion. These people should know the consequences and risk of having sex before they consent to doing it knowing that it can lead to unwanted pregnancies.

i have really strong feelings on this matter. My answer is YES it is wrong...as soon as conception that little baby has a beating heartbeat. people do not understand that it is living thing and having a abortion is murder...what makes me even sicker is when people use it as a birth control.....yes i know things happen like rape but there are thousands of adotion agenys that would love to find loving homes for newborns or any child at any age. people should think more before jumping to the easy way out method...ABORTION IS MURDER

I had an abortion when I was 19 - I did it because I was a student living in the dorms, had no money and was no longer involved with the father. I could not have been a good parent to that child. Even though I have thought about it constantly ever since I still feel confident that I made the right decision. It should be a woman's choice to make. If a woman is willing to deal with the consequences of her decision than it is not wrong. If people disagree with abortion than they shouldn't have one.

well i don't believe in abortions beyond 14 weeks unless the fetus is ill or the woman's life is on the line. abortions are not legal in many areas past 12-14 weeks, 20 weeks in some areas.

This is a pretty loaded question. I am against abortion. For me, it's just not something I could ever, or would ever consider. However, I think that in certain circumstances (rape, incest) abortion is OK. I think it really depends on your beliefs. What is right for some people certainly is not right for everyone.

My belief is that abortion is wrong at any stage. I personally could never do such a thing, I would feel such guilt and remorse. Because I truly feel a life was created at the time of conception.
