i've heard that mermaids have BEAUTIFUL singing voices, beautiful hair, beautiful shiny skin/scales, and a beautiful appearance. but that's what most stories describe them as. plus, they're magical (and also legendary) creatures. so OF COURSE i want to be a mermaid! who wouldn't?
i don't really care that i only hear of them in stories. it would be kool. and even in those stories, there are no evil mermaids!!

well, not so much anymore, i think the fin would get annoying. but when i was little and i was in the pool id put those little plastic rings that you dive for around my ankles so that my legs were tied together, and i could swim like a mermaid. :)
