I guess they feel they have a power over you..& maybe they were "weak" once in their life that when they find somebody weaker than them..they want to play the "power" role that people always played over them...& yeah that's when the control issue kicks in gear..
oh yeah & it's happended to me many times..& i am glad..it just toughened me up..

I think people like controlling the lives of others becuz they feel no control over their own lives. It's easier to make choices for other people becuz you don't suffer the consequences.
I don't let it happen. I control my life & no one else's. It's my life & at the end of the day my choices are all I have.

My teenagers want to control my life and I can't let them.

I have let that happen to me. They feel entitled because somewhere along the line I allowed the entitlement to happen.

Because they're control freaks. They have to "run the show" because you're stupid and they know it all. I keep away from those people...

I clash with control freaks. They never get ahold of me and it wrecks their nerves.
