No, it was not fair! It was also not fair for Fred Weasley to die!

Someone always has to die.I think that JK Rowling wanted to show how much Voldemort effected his life.Once again someone died who was like family to harry, and once again harry lost someone he only knew for a short time.

I wish Fred Weasley didn't die.He was my all-time favorite character in the whole series. He made me want to have a red-headed twin too.I wonder how Weasley Wizard Weezes is going to be affected.I mean, will George close down the shop or keep it running in memory of Fred?Fred was the one who made George laugh when he had his ear blown off. They will the single people that were able to laugh and make others laugh during the second reign of lord voldemort.

LOL, I can't believe I am answering this in the MUSIC SECTION! But here goes. It is never fair for Sirius Black to die, but at least he died in honour and valour, unlike most of his pure-blood family members! Padfoot come back!!!

It is obviously NOT fair for Sirius to die, but Ms. Rowling wanted to make the book interesting and dramatic! That's what draws readers.... Life is unfair, but sometimes you have to deal with it.... No one deserves to die and no one deserves to have a memory of someone they loved to die either....

well, look at it this way... it was not fair either that remus lupin died... to add insult to the injury, we did not even witness how he died, we just saw his dead body when harry passed near.

i guess jkr killed off sirius and remus for the sole purpose of completing the quartet (lily, james, sirius and remus) for that scene in the forest when harry is going to give himself up to voldemort.... imagine how that would have been, how less dramatic, if sirius and remus, or only one of them were missing..... so i guess she wanted to complete the quartet.

if you ask me, remus's death is even more unfair... he died just before harry's sacrifice, after which he would have been untouchable because of the protection that harry's sacrifice would have profferred.

but for the sake of that scene... i guess they all had to go - the persons closest to him =((( it really made me sad when i read of sirius's death, i nearly lost my like for the harry potter stories, in fact, i was not eager to read the 6th book when it came out, like i was when book 5 came out - the fire seemed to die out when sirius died.
