It means that your fish either bumped the wall of the tank or the fish has a disease on it's forehead. If it is a sickness, then you have to apply a certain medicine. If you don't know what the medicine you need, try and ask any pet shop owner for advice on what to do

Fish can get what you call, "Hole in the head disease", it can be caused from certain types of parasites he could of picked up from another fish in your tank........usually this occurs when you put another fish such as a pond, creek or lake fish in with your ordinary tank fish! If this is what it has, there will eventually be a worm like parasite come from this bump and your pet will die! You may want to call your local pet store and see if they can diagnose this and if it can be treated! Otherwise unless you drain your tank and sanitize, there is a danger other fish in the tank will also be infected! Best of luck!

you need to in all probability get away with a Bala Shark (fairly greater desirable than a foot) with stable filtration, yet they like to be in faculties. An Oscar may be the wonderful selection for a 70 gallon. a million Oscar desires a minimum of 30 gallons, so which you may in all probability shop 2 in there, yet i could circulate with a million only to be secure. if you are going to maintain an Oscar, you're able to need wonderful filtration, as they are messy eaters. Having that pronounced, you do no longer desire to get too huge a fish, including arowanas or Knife Fish. shrink your self to unnder 14", possibly. ZTM

Sounds like a bacterial infection. Best treatment is maracyn. You can get it at any pet store. Dosage is on bottle. Usually about 1 tablet for every 20 gallons for 5 days. Should clear it up. Good luck!

what kind of fish is it?

could be a parasite or a bruise.

hole in head disease is usually a white to light greyish color and more commonly occurs in larger cichlids, especially oscars. it is caused by poor water quality over a long period of time.
