Aw, I really hate period cramps.

Well, it may seem strange, but one of the best things you can do is light exercise. Swimming is especially good, as the water supports your body so it is a more relaxing way to exercise. However you would have to wear a tampon for that, so many girls don't feel comfortable doing so. Walking the dog or taking a light jog around the block can help, too (:

If you don't feel like exercising on your period (You're not alone, I hate it) Then take a hot, bubbly bath. The hot water will help to ease the cramps, and the bath itself will help relax you and make you feel a lot better.

Every girl has different ways of relieving her period pains, and some may work better on some girls than on others, everyone is different. But some other suggestions are:
to drink a nice warm cup of milky tea. Sugary, if you like it that way.
Putting a hot water bottle on the place where it hurts. Like having a bath, the heat will help to ease the pain.
Taking some painkillers, if your pains persist. It's best to ask your mum about this, because she will know how you're feeling and will be able to give you the best type of painkiller for the job =)

Hope you feel better x

Poor You - I think nearly every woman in britain will sympathise with you.

Believe it or not exercise will help immensely, take some ibruprofen and have a choccy bar and then go on a nice stroll.

If that doesn't take your fancy curl up in bed with a bar of chocolate and some crisps (some NASID's) a hot water bottle and a good chick flick.

If the pain is severe enough to effect your normal daily activities then you need to seek medical advice from your general practitioner.

Best wishes going your way.

I have the smae problem every month. The cramps are so bad that I need to stay in bed for the 1st day. My dr. has me taking prescription strength Motrin 2 days before I get my period and I use a heating pad during the 1st day. The pain is still bad but it is much more tolerable than it was.

Moving and walking helps along with midol. Make yourself get up and clean the house or go shopping. Anything to make you move. If it still doesnt help, lie on the couch or bed with a heating pad on your abdomen and relax as much as possible. Mine get so bad I have to take muscle relaxers some months.

I had to eat paracetamol to get rid of the pain, and also a warm waterbottle on the belly ^_^

You could stop the periods, by eating pills or getting an injection by the nurse at your local GP for free.
