Baseball more than any of the other major American sports is an international game. More baseball players are from other countries than the players from the other sports. I have no problem with it being called the world series!

Latino's play pro baseball in America.
Japanese play in America.
The best of the best play in America, so basically, they ARE world champions since they world plays for them
And besides the US, Canada, Dom. Rep, China and Japan, who else really takes baseball seriously?

Its just a name dont take it too literally....whenever a sports team wins their leagues championship they call themselves world champions.
