itch due to you using a gel you bought from an adult store, and then you guy went down on you, is that considered a yeast infection or just get some cream for an external itch. The itch is only on the outside, and I can rub it with my hand to sooth it a little, but then it comes back. I have also bought some vagsil, but it's not working fast enough for me so I was wondering if it is best that I go out and get some monostat.

I used protection, and I have been with the guy for about 9 months. Thre only thing we did different was used the lube.

Oh, that's annoying. Those gels, creams, anything with fragrance may have caused you to develop an allergic reaction, irritated skin, and yes, this can very well cause a yest infection. Try the Monestad Three day package with the accompanying soothing cream. Take some hot bath, without any soap or shower get in them. If at this point you are in a great discomfort, make sure you go see your Doctor, and do not use any of these products again.

It's possible that it's a yeast infection, but it's also possible that it's simply a reaction to the gel. I don't think it would hurt if you tried Monostat, but if that doesn't do the trick then I'd avoid that particular gel again. Best of luck!

A yeast infection is not exterior, it is interior. Vagisil is the correct thing to use for what you have, as long as you're sure you haven't caught something much more sinister.
Also clean the area well keeping sweat away from it and clothing that is tight or rubs.
You should post these questions in women's health, they will gross guys out in this section lol

If it is a yeast infection you will have a yucky discharge and it will probably smell bad. You just may have irritation from some bad lube. Stop activities until it clears up then get a new lube.

I'd just go to the doctor...what if it isn't the gel? what if your guy has given you something. I wouldn't just assume that it was something I've bought, though I would mention it to the dr. while he's checking me for everything else.
