The baby is big enough now that you don't need a full bladder when you go in. My 18 week ultrasound took about 30 minutes. If you do have to pee during the ultrasound let the tech know and she will let you get up to go to the bathroom.

You do have to have a full bladder, but the technician should let you pee part way through to help the baby change positions. If you have a relaxed baby, then it should take about 30-45 minutes. My baby boy refused to hold still for his measurements, so it took an hour and a half to finish mine. I didn't mind though because I loved watching my little boy wiggle around on the screen.

Mine only took about 20 minutes, but it might take longer if you're having twins or have any kind of complications (like fibroids, placenta previa or something like that).

Also, they didn't make me keep my bladder full the whole time - they did the full bladder part of the exam first, then told me I could empty my bladder for the rest. Maybe ask the technician if that's a possibility. Good luck and don't forget to ask if you can get a picture to take home with you!

It could take up to 30-45 minutes, just because they are more thorough in that scan. I suggest not drinking the full amount they say to. Last time I went, I drank most of my water on the way to the ultrasound, so that way I don't have to hold it for so long.

I had to fill my bladder (mine was just last week) and as soon as she looked at my bladder and cervix I was allowed to pee. It also took over an hour because apparently my child is very stubborn so we have to go back tomorrow as they couldn't see everthing they wanted to see. Including the face and gender. :( Hopefully it will expose itself tomorrow. I would like to know what we are having.

Good luck with yours.

you dont need a super full bladder for that one. The uterus is big enough to push it out of the way.

I didnt drink anything for mine, and idont know anyone else who did.

Mine took about 30-40 minutes.

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.

In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/8gnI9

Mine took about an hour and a half because the baby wouldn't move in the right position. I also had a braxton hicks contraction while I was laying there...that was extremely uncomfortable!
