Hi,me and my partner of 11yrs have been trying to concieve for 15 months. We decided to go to the doctor to have fertility tests as nothing was happening. We got our results on friday,my results were all ok but my partner had a low sperm count/low motility. Our doctor has now put in a referral for us to see fertility specialist and should take about 3 months.
Our doc said not to worry,as the first sperm analysis doesnt always give answers and as the semen were about 45 mins old when we handed them in...could give misleading results.Anyway just wanted to know what to expect when we see fertility specialist. What treatment we might be offered, has anyone had low motility and needed treatment.
My partner has read abit about how to improve it himself up until we see doctor ie.no hot baths, healthy eating and hes started taking co enzyme q10 what docs say can improve sperm motililty. Its would be nice to hear from people who have had to have fertility treatment.

The fertility specialist will take a history from both of you and do physicals. Then they will order another semen analyasis. If those results come back bad then they will refer him to a urologist or more likely they will start you on ovulation induction drugs and do IntraUterine Insemination using your partners washed sperm.
Also, have him start taking L-Carnatine and Zinc daily.
