The allure of driving for Ferrari is the marque itself. Long established in racing even before they made their own cars, the Ferrari team has an absolutely glorious racing heritage.

Since 1950, in Formula One, for example, Ferrari has 197 wins (to McLaren's 154, Williams's 113, Lotus's 79...). The team's drivers have won 14 Drivers Championships. The Constructor's Championship started in 1958, and Ferrari has won it 14 times (to Williams's 9, McLaren's 8, and Lotus's 7). None of this includes the results from Ferrari in Grand Prix racing from the time Enzo Ferrari started his own team--running at first with cars he bought from Alfa Romeo, and later building his own cars.

Add this to the glamour of the cars. Ferrari is one of the world's most widely recognized and loved marques.

Do I like Ferrari. Hmmm... I said in another answer that many people either love them or hate them. I like them well enough. More often I am a fan of a driver than a team, and through the years I have followed F1 I have been more of a McLaren fan than any other team. I love F1, so most of all I like all of it. Right now the only outfit I dislike is Spyker for all the whining Collin Kolles does (but of course, we've all forgotten that in view of recent more salacious scandal).

I was a huge Michael Schumacher fan and was really disappointed when he retired. Coming from Hertfordshire, I am now a Lewis Hamilton fan, and yes, I decide to support him from the beginning of the season, not just when he started proving himself. I think Ferrari have had the 'whole package' the money, the car, the mechanics, the team leaders and the drivers in the past - they have had it all and have been so successful I guess that's what most of the drivers aspire to. This year seems a little hit and miss for them. Is it because Michael has left? Is it because Kimi isn't all he's cracked up to be? Is it because Jon Todt is now doing too much work and it takes his concentration away from F1 as a whole? Is it because Ross Brawn isn't around? Who can tell. Perhaps Mclaren are just lucky this year.

Before I knew of F1, I knew of Ferrari!

It is a name that embodies class, panache, power and absolute beauty! it provokes a form of sensuality I rarely find in any other car. The desire to drive a Ferrari is like my teenage desire to be with someone like Cindy Crawford, Naomi Cambell and Ellen MacPherson. Michael Schumacher enabled Ferrari to achinve in F1 what they have achived on the road.

Having said that MacLaren is my Favourite team. because I am older and i prefer Mercedes Benz to Ferrari.

Drivers dream of Ferrari not because of anything that has happened as recently as Schumi, but because of the tradition and excellence of the marque over the decades. And yes, I like Ferrari. As for cheating, I don't think so, that label belongs with down pit row a bit.

Yeah,no prob. The prob is,no count in case you have have been given the dough to payfor all the maintenances and amenities,oh and feul expenditures. rather,a 911 could be greater advantageous, yet Ferraris are Italian esse, they have the alluring lines purely an Italian toddler can furnish. And the 360 is rather the terrific Ferrari in words with automobile to driver relationship.in case you recognize a thank you to tame this toddler, you may rather tension, guy.

ferrari is the cornerstone of formula 1, they are easily the oldest team, and ferrari as a company is a race team first, the whole production car manfacturing side of the company was done to finance the race team, there is history & tradition,

if someone came to you and said i have a job for you at a major car company its your choice, you can choose from honda, toyota, mercadies, bmw, or renault you pick ....oh ...uh yeah or ferrari, you know where your going,

i don't dislike Ferrari ,i liked Ross brawn but at the end of the day it the higher management of teams and their sponsors who cause the problems.
as for schumi he was ruthless and that's why he won 7 championships even if meant having a professional foul ,a bit like Sena and prost .
Schumi never let his feeling or rants be made public apart from when he wents to smack DC a few years back.

Because of the history of the team and the pedigree of their machines. John Todt is the best!
