I am trying to get used to eating smaller portions and it is working out nicely. Just have to take it easy.

I didn't use to of course when I was a kid... but yeah I watch that now... it sucks to get grow up huh? Here's a little trick that works for me, I don't know you may already know this, but I read some where to listen to that little voice that says "stop, you've had enough" and sure enough its there. It tells me to do other stuff to but thts for another question. Anyways where was I, oh yeah, damn memory going along with the waist, if I don't stop when I have had enough than I find that I am too full and miserable. Give it a try. Good luck with the diabetes, my baby bro has it and he was in the ER just last nite his podiatrist thought he had a staff infection, it seems he has let a blister on his big toe that won't heal. He went to long without seeing a wound care spec. he doesn't have staff infection in his blood, thank god, but he does on his toe.... he took care of it i mean he kept it clean and wrapped and kept cream on it, but was scared to see the doc. Now he has a blister on his other foot and has to be fitted to wear special "boots" until both feet has healed! So take care my new P/S friend that's a NASTY UGLY disease... : D

It depends on what I am eating. If I know I am going to be eating a lot of fried or starchy foods, I watch my portions then. I kinda do it with my other food too, but more so with those previously listed.

try using a smaller plate! i found these small size plates at the dollar store. no they aren't dessert plates, but they're smaller than the "average" plate size. infact these plates are the size of most antique plates. it's only recently that plate manufacturers have increased the size of plates! it's ridiculous! anyway i serve dinner on these small plates! it's making a difference.
