Firstly pick a warm day.....don't go in middle of winter....there is no substitute for either sending a letter or brochure to companies or better still call in person with brochure, price list etc....look smart, be prepared to return later if necessary...and have a good price ready.

At the small company I worked for, the deciding factor was that the water bottle supplier gave some proceeds to charity. (Aquaid I think they were called)
The cooler was leased and the water was bought.

I think it would be personal contact as the first guy said, but like you said I would think most companies have them now, on the other hand the guy who started it in France is a millionaire, good luck any way.

I would go door to door, visiting companies. If you find a company without a cooler, offer to let them try one for two weeks for free. Most people will like it and keep it forever.

Big market but pretty saturated with competition I would think. Low margins not much value in water. If you looking for a real opportunity conatact me directly on cadbook@hotmail.com depending on part of country you in have a great opportunity for you and people like you. i.e. ambitious, know the value of asking questions, intelligent, intersted in sales
