The best advice I can give you is to seek a consult with a Lawyer...Most consults are free until you decide to retain his or her service for a divorce...You will be able to explain better the situation and they will tell you what your legal options are for the BEST care for you and your daughter....Remember, it's not about him anymore but, you and your child...He's not going to have your best interest because he's the one seeking a divorce from you....I know how this must be hard because I'm still going through the process and when you have children involve it's harder...As mothers, we try to protect our children so much so they don't get hurt neither..Thats where your most focus should be at..Your daughter will be okay and so will you..Ask god for the guidance and strength to surpass all this because without FAITH you have nothing to help you get through....

Yes you may be able to get a settlement to support you if did not work as much as he did during the marriage. As for your daughter you will get child support. One of the only ways that I am aware of a spouse keeping a house is that spouse must buy out the other spouses half of the house and the payments are their responsibility alone after the divorse. It might be different in your state. You can call some local attorneys and they should offer advise over the phone free of charge. Best of luck to you and your daughter.

Ok, you need a lawyer here, so go and talk to at lease three of them and ask them the questions you just wrote here. Look for the ones who will give a free consolation ok ask you questions and get some back ground on them, after 30 years I'm going through divorce, and it sucks and a lot of hard work but if there's light at the end of the tunnel and there is,... do it.
Alot of this has to do with what state you live in, so get the phone book out and do it now, if you want to talk email me.

Yes you can get a settlement to help support you and your daughter and the judge could make him have to pay the rent or at least help you pay it. Get a lawyer and good luck to you!

Just get a lawyer he abandoned his family, you will win. No offense but you married a douche-bag.
